now in Auckland
Journey from Melbourne delayed in all by an hour or so but overall another pleasant flight. Made our way to Quality Inn via airport bus and taxi and now settled in. No pix publishable at present because of problems with strength of wifi in the lobby area here which means laptops are less effective. Writing this on hotel computer in public area. Anyway pix that follow eventually should include nice ones by Jean from 37,000 ft as we left Australia behind, for the moment. Dave

Dave, if you guys get a chance in Auckland, I heartily recommend a trip to Waihiki Island. You can take the ferry from near Auckland, it takes about an hour. Waihiki's like stepping back in time with long deserted beaches and cute little shops.
