A Walk on the Beach
While Dave cycled this morning I kicked off my sandals and took the opportunity to stroll along the beach, getting sand between my toes and enjoying the water on my feet as the waves swished their way up the beach and sank back. We’ve seen some beautiful views along a variety of shorelines, we’ve walked along the sand on several occasions and I swam out in the deep (without the dolphins!) but I think this was the first paddle of the trip.

Moving on

Hired bike for the morning and went right round harbours that make up Whitianga and Mercury Bay. Took ferry across to the other side and back again for lunchtime. Spent afternoon catching up with emails and looking to next week's itinerary which now reads a couple of days each in Whakatane, Rotorua, Napier and Wellington. Took in movie later in local cinema (attendance 6). Show of Hands. Not bad. Dave
