We moved from Woonona to Sydney to Hobart today so there's not a lot to pass on, and the picture uploader isn't working either, so that stymies what I was going to write about!
We took an earlyish swim in a pool by the sea and found the water was much colder than expected but it was good to get back to a Saturday morning workout.
We'd hoped to get to the museum in Sydney to view a wildlife photographic exhibition but spent too long at the police station trying to obtain signatures on our statements for the insurance company and had to go to the airport direct.
Hobart looks like a pleasant city and has the advantage of long hours of daylight at this time of year.

Indian Pacific

Think I can promise this will be the last train blog but the Indian Pacific is a bit special. It leaves Sydney twice a week for Perth, taking about three days. Could be done more quickly but some stops at stations can last several hours for passengers to go on mini-trips round a particular area.
Costs about 2,500 pounds but is Pullman class travel all the way, though the outside livery is not so impressive (pictured)
Of course, the Indian Pacific should not be confused with the Ghan which runs south to North from Adelaide to Darwin. It doesn't take quite so long but travels through similar deserted landscapes. Dave
